Artist Interview

What medium do you work with, and why have you chosen them?

Acrylic paint – I have found this to be more flexible and practical that other paint mediums. I like the consistency, and am able to create my own colours with ease.

How does your artwork get from initial concept to exhibition stage?

Best described as a ‘sacred pilgrimage’, guided by a profound spiritual resonance. It begins with a moment of divine inspiration, an ethereal whisper that ignites my creative soul and beckons me to embark on a voyage of creation. I delve deep into a period of introspection, immersing myself in the quiet depths of simply just, being. Here, amidst the silence, I commune with the essence of my artistry, allowing my intuition to serve as a compass guiding the creative vision. I have learnt not to try control the visions too much with my mind.

Can you tell us a little more about your creative working environment/studio?

I love my studio. It is all white, with exposed concrete floors. It has an industrial feel, but it faces North so it is always dappled with gorgeous light.
