Artist Interview

What medium do you work with, and why have you chosen them?

Acrylic and Mixed Media are my favourite media as they allow me to explore layering with collage, glazes and rubbing back to reveal unexpected surprises.

How does your artwork get from initial concept to exhibition stage?

My art evolves from memories of experiences and from objects that are both real and imagined. My technique focuses on layering, glazing and rubbing back collage material and acrylic paint, and exploring the interplay between positive and negative space.

Can you tell us a little more about your creative working environment/studio?

I work from a home-based studio in Brisbane/Meanjin
