Artist Interview
What medium do you work with, and why have you chosen them?
I mainly use oil paint, it’s slow drying nature, beautiful pigments and glossy finish has drawn me to this medium.
How does your artwork get from initial concept to exhibition stage?
I generally draw from what’s around me, go for a bush walk, collect things and create different compositions from what I find. I love to play with colour so I’ll try out different palettes before I get to the final painting.
Can you tell us a little more about your creative working environment/studio?
I love going bush walking and painting plein air when I can. Otherwise in the studio I work from drawings, photographs or still life setups with things I have collected.
