Hele Ellis graduated with Honours from the College of Fine Arts and Art Therapy (HKS) Ottersberg, Germany, in 1992 and has lived, worked, studied, and exhibited in Australia since 1995. Hele Ellis’ paintings are collected internationally and have received awards since 1998.
Career Highlights
- Hele Ellis’s credits include solo exhibitions in Munich-Germany, San Juan Islands-USA, Lismore Regional Gallery (a retrospective of work produced since arrival in Australia), Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Toowoomba and her hometown Byron Bay-Australia.
- Since 2019 Hele Ellis has researched specific drawing and painting exercises and discovered a sequence of applications that facilitate entering the creative zone promptly without expecting it to happen spontaneously. Entering the zone is experienced as complete presence, exceptional focus and distortion of time (also called Flow).
