What medium do you work with, and why have you chosen them?

Amanda works with acrylic primarily however extends to oil, textiles, bleach and dyes.

How does your artwork get from initial concept to exhibition stage?

I let it flow , I let it grow, and I build over time until the story appears on the canvas. Each colour , each symbol is drawn from having a quiet mind connecting to my inner child and mediumistic side.

Can you tell us a little more about your creative working environment/studio?

Residing in the quaint suburb of Helensburgh, her serene yet colourful studio is complemented by Indigo Designs Co, a sanctuary that supports women in business and a supportive network. It's full of handcrafted items, tapestries, crystals, feathers that feed her inspirations. Her studio she calls home away from home because it lives in comfort , peace and creativity.
