Artist Interview

What medium do you work with, and why have you chosen them?

Acrylic on canvas or board is my preferred medium. Its versatility allows me to explore playful techniques, through layering or bold blocks of colour.

How does your artwork get from initial concept to exhibition stage?

My process always starts with sketching as a means of documentation for future reference. At times, the primary composition may not reveal itself immediately. Returning to these sketches allows me to reassess and refine my ideas, resulting in a more deliberate and nuanced approach.

Can you tell us a little more about your creative working environment/studio?

Since relocating to Sydney, I've found immense inspiration in my surroundings. It's as if I'm seeing everything with a renewed perspective, particularly noticing the distinctiveness between Australian and European design, fashion, and lifestyle.
