Artist Interview

What medium do you work with, and why have you chosen them?

Acrylics. I love using acrylic paints because they offer vibrant and rich colour palette and because I'm impatient , the fact they dry quicklyt is a bous allowing me to layer and experiment with textures. Acrylic's versatility allows me to experiment with different techniques from thick textured strokes to smooth blended washes.

How does your artwork get from initial concept to exhibition stage?

Purely intuitive, I dont plan too much, just see where it takes me.

Can you tell us a little more about your creative working environment/studio?

My art studio is now home based (gave up my large studio thanks covid) and allows me flexibility to work the hours I want, it is bright and airy and lovely views of the hills. It is also regularly chaotic!
