Artist Interview

What medium do you work with, and why have you chosen them?

My art practice is centred around collage and the exploration of mixed media, where I incorporate found images, paper, paint, and graphic design to create my art.

How does your artwork get from initial concept to exhibition stage?

Often, I start digitally to explore rough compositions, colours, and materials. From there, I leave the computer and go analogue. I let the process guide me, layering elements, painting, ripping, and sanding. I work on the piece until the composition feels right and is balanced. Once refined, the piece is framed.

Can you tell us a little more about your creative working environment/studio?

I work from my art studio in Darlinghurst, which provides essential separation from home life. Having a dedicated space allows me to focus on my art, whether during the day or at night. For collage, it’s vital to let compositions sit and evolve over time—something I couldn't easily do at home. My studio is key to this process, offering the freedom to step away and return with fresh eyes.
